What is the Corporate Mortgage Program? 

The corporate mortgage program is a way for the Alumni Association to offer an additional benefit to its’ members. It gives members access to wholesale residential mortgage rates and discounted closing costs through a mortgage brokerage company that has strong relationships with more than 100 leading lending institutions. 

 

How Does the Program Work? 

Members will have access via the New Paltz Alumni Association website as well as through a semi-annual newsletter. It states that if someone is interested in financing a new home or refinancing an existing one, they can call us at no obligation to obtain information on loan programs and rates. 

If they decide to use our services, we will assist them in locating the most advantageous mortgage program to suit their financial objectives. We retain responsibility for structuring the transaction, processing the application, obtaining the mortgage approval, and assisting the borrower from the initial application through closing. 

What are the Benefits to the Member? 

Once the loan has closed and funded, we will refund a portion of the closing costs to help defray some of the fees associated with financing a home. 

 

 

 

 

What are the Benefits to the Alumni Association? 

The corporate mortgage program is an additional service that can be offered to members to ease the “stress” of dealing with financing. Because the association is a non-profit and independently funded organization, it depends on its members for contributions and support. By offering such a program, members are reminded that they are part of an association that is still looking out for their needs years after graduation.
